Hi all. Blogland has taken a backseat to everything else going on in my life. Really, it doesn't seem much but between work and school there seems to be no time to paint or create dolls. The only thing I am sharing lately is class projects. However, I have a couple of snowmen boxes from last year that I will be posting on Ebay for the season..so, I will post as soon as I can. I volunteered to work this Thanksgiving weekend. The last couple of years I have embraced being alone. I honetly quite enjoy it. I know that is pretty selfish of me. But, as I get older I realize how much I seemed to needed people before. Well, not anymore.

It's been so long since I posted on this blog. It has also been a long time since I created anything worthy of posting on this blog. This summer's project, apart from work and school, is remodeling the house. Nothing major, just pulling out carpet, repainting trim. The wood floors are in pretty good shape. They could use a screening and coating, but so much better than that nasty cheap carpet the previous owner installed. I even pulled up really old carpet from the gorgeous wood stairss. Here is my progress..so far. There is plenty more to do !!

Hi all. I wanted to share an adorable paper clay piece I bought off of the Pfatt Marketplace. It is my first piece from The Polka Dot Pixie. I'm going to place this ensemble at my cubical at work, to remind me that "anything is possible." Oh yeah, I have a cubicle! hahaha. I started working part time, while I finish school. It's been over a decade since I actually went to work. This keeps me busy and brings in some extra cash each month. Speaking of extra cash. I got a special order for a Uncle Sam doll, so I will be working on that the next week. It's been over 10 months since I made a doll. Hopefully, I will get back into it more this summer. I have been creating a lot of graphics and artwork in Illustrator and Photoshop, practicing for my future in graphic design. :) Come see my art on Art by Jenny.

Hi everyone! I have not been keeping up with my blog here. Most of my sharing has been happening on my other blog Art by Jenny. That is where I am sharing my paintings and digital art that I am attempting to learn both in school and out. Mostly out, but the basics are helping me go forward. I made this banner in Illustrator. One of my first attempts at making something in this program using shapes. It's kinda neat.

I start my part time job in a few weeks. Then I will switch class to full time. I am planning on getting back to creating dollies again. At least once a week. So, hopefully you are excited about that!

Well, I am pretty much finished. This was a fun project, but I am ready to start something new. I need to make some little paintings to use as ornaments for my sister who is in need of them for her tree. Other than that, I need to clean, clean, clean! We are going to Amish country for Thanksgiving with my mom, my younger brother and his two kids. It will be nice to NOT have to cook this year, but I am sure I will miss all those left overs.

Welp, I got the front and the back almost finished. I need to touch up my black stripes, but I like how it looks so far. To tell ya the truth I like back better than the front, but not by much. This piece so is cute. I am still not sure what's going on top. I drew a whimsical sun with a face, but duh I drew it upside down to the opening, so I had to paint over it. But I am still debating on what to do. Just flower tops, a whimsical sun and some clouds, or something written with leaves and flowers. Ho Hum...time will tell.

My little wooden chest is coming along.....very slowly. This took me a few hours of laying the paint on so that it comes out vibrant enough. But, I am happy how it is turning out. The colors are fun and once the entire thing is painted it will be so very whimsical...I cannot wait! I have not decided how I am going to finish the ends and the top. So, until then I'll just have to work on the opposite side. But for now it is time to clean up and relax.

Here is how I know I had ADD. lol I started working on this wooden storage box. I finished drawing one side and so what do I want to do? Paint it! lol I should be drawing all the side and pretty much the top before starting the paint process, but well I got bored with just the one and want to paint already!!! lol I know this project will take me days, so does it really matter if I both draw and paint each side separately? lol That is the beauty of it, I suppose. There are NO rules. Originally I bought this craft box to paint and sell. But, I could totally use it to store my yarn. (Keeping it away from the kitties) I will post my "as I go" pictures since I probably won't work on anything new till this is finished. At least that proves I have somewhat of a type A personality, that can help my ADD...that's actually finishing my projects. I could not imagine having more than my knitting and hook rugs that sit around waiting to be finished. Most everything else in my life "Get's Done". FFFEEEEWWWW.

Mr Snowman is my first holiday painting...ever. I was apprehensive at first because I did not think I could pull it off. I usually under estimate myself...but often feel quite happy after I finished. I suppose it is better than having high expectations. Now, if I could sell it...that would be wonderful. But, if not well I have yet another cool gift to give someone! (Story of my life) lol

I cannot complain. I may be starving in art, but not in life. I am just gonna need a warehouse someday for all my stuff. Can you relate?

I just listed 4 princess shakers on ETSY. I will be adding some of the other items this week when I have time as well as offering some on Ebay. I have finally gotten rid of pretty much all my Halloween creations through E-bay. I am back to the beginning making nickles and dimes, but I realize that I have not been as consistent as I was over a year ago and I plan on getting back to it. Next on the agenda is some Thanksgiving items. It's nice to make any bit of money since the kitty rescue is back. All the money has been going to that endeavor. It's a little more expensive here with having to supply flea meds every month. That stuff is expensive when you are taking care of as many cats as I do. Anyway, I was playing around with Photoshop and made a banner...that won't work on ETSY...lol So, I had to remake it. Oh well.

I am hoping for a good turn out, but more importantly a stress free time. Borrowed mom's van but already dealing with issues about timing there. Sometimes it's not always the best to borrow, I already feel I should have rented the Uhaul. Live and learn.....

I am so worn out. A month of 12 to 16 hour days has done a number on me. I am officially done creating for a little while. All the bells are on their shakers and packed away for the weekend. I am totally ready for it to be over. Now that the fun part is finished, that is. Packing and Unpacking each day is going to suck, but I cannot leave all those antiques and goodies just sitting around all night. I am praying for 70 degree weather with no rain. Wouldn't that be nice?

Anyway, this little dolly was created using a Back Porch Pickins pattern. She is missing her flower, but I am so fried...it's just not getting done. I know....how sucky is that? Ugggh. Maybe bible study and worship tonight will make my spirits high. All this work is putting me in a mood.

Finally. I am done creating for a wee bit. I just have 40 little bells to hand stitch to those princess shakers is all. I am building supports for my old shutters tomorrow and some last minute tweaking of items, pricing etc before I pack them for the weekend. Please think of me and put us in your prayers for a good turn out. 1st time endeavor and I am very nervous about it. At least I can hide under my bonnet.

It has been one hectic month for me and mom. It is almost over and I am excited and kind of nervous. I have so many details to finish before this weekend, plus getting everything ready. My mom said she is going to be bored when we are done. I have had her do so much homework, she said she likes to do it. We'll have to think of something for her to work on. I am looking forward to getting back to some hook rugging and maybe even knitting when this is over. I need a little break from all this doll making. I am kind of tired of it actually. LOL

I love these cuties I just made. I had these wooden candle holders hanging around in my supplies for over a year. I am happy that I saved them for these items. Aren't they so adorable? Now, I am anxious to make some more. These are perfect for placing on a dresser in a little girls room. But, really who needs to be a little girl to enjoy them. I sure don't. I like ALL things pretty. Wink Wink

You think I would be, but each one of these turns out different in some way. Like they are their own character. I am still having fun with them. Today was pretty productive though, I bought the fabric for our costumes for the Harvest Festival. With the expense of that and the uhaul, space rental and everything else it will be a miracle I will make a profit... yes, and I have been praying for that miracle. The thing about any art is you work and hope to get paid. Not like your normal job. Though, my last career was like that real estate and fix and flipping is a gamble as well. I have had my struggles, but feel blessed that I have gotten as far as I have. I just pray that I can continue to work with my hands and do what I love.

Boy, do I have my work cut out for me...This isn't even all of it..really there is twice this much to finish. Thanks to my mom though for working really hard cutting fabric, stuffing heads and hats and hand stitching garland...otherwise I would not even be attempting this. My house has turned into a little doll factory. I cannot wait to share all the new creations as I get them finished. These colors are so vibrant and fun aren't they? I just had to take a picture. Been working non-stop for days. Except to eat, sleep, shower and go to church...lol I was so hot yesterday I decided to go to Depot to buy myself a window AC unit...they were sold out...so was Lowes. I was pretty frustrated. Amazing how heat can make people feel angry. Man, it was like a sauna in my craft room/dining room. I ended up ordering a small one online. Enough to cool 450 feet, though my main floor is bigger. I am sure it will help out enough to get me comfortable. Go figure it is cool today. But I am not complaining. I am happy about the cool down because I can work in a more enjoyable setting. My mom has been such a big help with my show. I keep giving her homework and at this point she is way ahead of me. I now have 20 shakers and boxes on my agenda. A bit overwhelming, but I am sure I can do it. I get to baby sit tomorrow while I work. That should be interesting. I NEED to get work done so I told their mom to make sure they had enough stuff to do. They can be quite needy at times. I hope that goes well. Not too overwhelmed yet and hoping I don't become that way before my show with so much to do and not enough time. Well...i suppose it is time to get back to work.

I am very excited to introduce my first Princess shaker...I say shaker, but she has no bells on her, so I suppose she would not be called that. I don't know what she would be called then...besides something fun for a little girl to tote around with her. This one is the first of many to come. This was created using fabric I already had around. The special colorful fabric I bought with ribbons and bling are on the agenda next week. They are going to be fun to say the least.

Mom and I have been working extra hard the last week and it will continue up until the Zoar Harvest Festival. I have been working 16 to 17 hour days. Yeah, I know. I will be devastated if it bombs. So, praying everyday for success. I have never worked this many hours at anything. really. Oh well, taking a risk can be scary. There are still details I want to add to these still...Rusty bells and stars. Just waiting for my stars to arrive to finish them up. These look great all grouped together don't they?

This clown is so cute. I was very happy how he turned out. Anyway...Why is is when you wake up early you feel great and when you sleep in you feel like crap? I slept in today...and feel yucky. I am sweating while I enjoy my hot latte. Double yuck! My sister just called to ask if I could baby sit for 5 to 6 hours this afternoon...uhhhhh Oh well. They'll just have to deal with their aunt making more dolls. I have so much catching up to do from my week off that I am reeling over it. Yep...another witch. I told you I have been working a lot! I still have 3 more dolls almost finished....as well. This is what happens when you can't update in a while. They all pile up to get on here when the time has come. It is a gorgeous day out. I should be mowing or doing something outside...but NOPE.... I am not quite finished with this guy. He needs some accessories and I have not any Christmas stuff around. Mom says that maybe some craft stores have stuff. Well JoAnn's doesn't yet. This is what happens when you cook your doll head too long..lol She got her nose burnt, so I just painted her green. I actually like her this way. LOL I have been busy all week creating. Still tons to do. I will continue to share as I finish them. There are still many details to complete. The harvest fest is creeping up on me I know. I will be working round the clock most weeks...but next week I get to have a whole week off. VACATION!!! I am very excited. Going to take the nephews to Cedar Point one day to ride all the scary roller coasters. Looking for more things to do with the younger niece and nephew. I am so looking forward to spending time with the family.

Boy, could I use some snow right now. I would jump in it naked I think...it is so hot and muggy here! I finally finished some items for the show in August. I have been busy doing other things around the house. But, I had my mom cut out a bunch of osnaburg today, so I should be making plenty of dollies soon. There is so much to do and what seems to be so little time. Though, I have little distractions except getting my house ready for the market. Yep..you heard that right. I am moving. Where you wonder? I am keeping that a secret for now. My life has been too much of an open book lately and well you may just have to wait for the book to read about it. hahaha. Those of you who cannot wait to find out, please send me a note and we can converse on email.

I cannot remember where I found this old step stool. It was actually not very pretty before and was just put together with odd pieces of wood. I pulled it out of the basement and slapped some color on it. I painted it with a dry brush so that you can see the distress in the wood still. I think it looks cool and the colors match my kitchen table (in a previous photo) I love when making something new from old stuff. This still looks primitive, like the paint has been there all along...NEAT!! Plus, I sure could use a stool since I am only 5'3". Wink

Had a couple disasters with the grunging today. Lol. Oh well, you live and learn. We still had fun creating and we seem to be getting a pretty good system down. My mother has become my councelor. LMAO. She just listens. She does not judge which is awesome. I have put myself through a lot of drama lately. "I" being the big word here. It is nice to have someone to talk to. It is as if a lot of people have similar problems in their lives, so i do not feel alone. The best I can do now is be myself, be honest about what I need and want, and stop looking back to all my failures. I feel like I hurt a lot of people throughout my life and I regret that, but I do not know how to say I am sorry to each and every one so I just live my life the way I know how. I just hope that I stop hurting people on my road to happiness.

I finished a couple more boxes this morning. The weekend was nuts. This new Maya program is kicking my butt this term in 3d anime class. My head is spinning! Other than that life has been very strange for me the last week, but also very surreal. I am very optimistic about my life and the way it is headed. I cannot be anything but excited about it because I waited my whole life to be really happy. It is up to me now....and I am doing just fine!

I have decided to do a juried show at Zoar during their Harvest Festival. My mom and I have been working hard and will be non stop for months. I am also trying to set up space at the Atwood Lake Fall Festival. Thousands of people! I am excited about both shows. It will be my first time and I am looking forward to lots of fun. I went antique shopping again. It is nice to have a friend with muscle and a truck . :) Most of these items will be staging a tent at Zoar this year. I would love to do Atwood Fall festival as well, will be checking into that tomorrow. I will be posting prices on these antiques as well. It was so much fun finding these items that I am seriously thinking about flipping antiques. Everyone tells me how great my taste is, so that may be something very lucrative, we will see.

Times are tough, but I keep cranking art out! Someday, it will pay off. I have to have faith that no matter what happens, I am doing what I love. My desires to do art while going to school are my top priority right now. A day job will only complicate my life, schoolwork and my creative life. So, please help support my cause. I bought this stool at Joann's. I am totally loving it. I have to go get me some more and do some in different colors. It was a blast. Man, now if I could paint furniture, I think I would love it! I think my painting and drawing skills are getting better as well. 20 years without art in my life and now I am making up for it.

I have a fun day ahead of me. Going antique shopping with a friend. I am excited because this is the first time I have gone since moving to Ohio. Other than that I will be busy playing catch up with my studies this weekend. It has been a real busy week, but very productive thanks to my friend Mark, who has been my "handy man" around here. A new mail box, a window air conditioner, hanging light fixtures....the list goes on. His friendship and help mean a lot to me. Thanks man!!

I finished this cute kitty Americana doll, named Sammy, this morning. She is ready for the 4th of July parade! heehee I used my own pattern for this one. I had my mom worried about her fabric. One more dolly finished for the week. This is is so very sweet, hard to part with I think. I will be putting her on Ebay this weekend. It will be a busy one here. I get my riding lawn mower delivered. Oh my. At least my brother will be here to uuuuhhuuumm...show me how to use it! lol I know I will probably be nervous my first time, but he thinks after a while I'll be like Edward scissor hands and be mowing patterns in my grass. HAHA..funny. I doubt that! But, it makes me feel very independent. And I am more independent than I have been ever, right now. I will finally be going out to meet people (unfortunately at a bar) this weekend. I don't get to meet too many people making dolls all day! lol But, I would not trade this in for anything right now. It is so much fun to be creating again.

I should be calling this sun room/craft storage room now. Though, i have things in cabinets, it is way better than in boxes. That bench is so awesome...guess where I got it...in my basement!~ WOW, I know a cabinet in the prim cabinet in the garage and a prim bench in the basement. I would say that bench would cost a few hundred bucks if not more and it is perfect with chipped paint and everything. This room is so cute now. The cats bask in the sun ALL day. I have to chase them out each evening because they'd probably stay here all night..LOL

~Little Trip to Zoar~

On my way home from lunch with my brother today, I stopped in on some prim shops in Zoar. A historic little town here in Ohio. I wanted to live here!!! I met some wonderful people and even a group of ladies that meet for hook rugging! OH GOODY. This town is a little prim dream. So quaint! There is a shop that even has prim dolls in it. They also have a festival twice a year. I have to think about if I want to have a booth there. Wouldn't that be neat?! Next on is in August. I am going to at least check into it. I walked by my dream home, it is still on the market. Seems cheap at a little of 200k..especially when I owned one for 600k...huh? But, a single girl with no job cannot afford a mortgage, so I have to be happy with what I have. A girl can still dream though.

Matilda, a little fairydolly will be up for sale tonight. She is darling, isn't she. Once again, and BBP pattern. Been making those exclusively the last couple weeks. Soon, I will be off making dollies again from my own pattern, but these are great while I am training my mother to help out. That is such a blessing. I say it all the time. I love being with my family. I spent so long being away and never having that unconditional love. I may never have it again from anyone else, but I am happy with how my life is right now. I see my mom three times a week. My sister at least twice a week. I wish my brother lived closer because I would spend more time with him too. Fortunately, his boys are old enough to drive and come see me this summer. If they do, that is...lol You know teenagers! I will be busy getting these dollies listed tonight, with more paintings. It is such a task to make art, list art, blog about art. Enjoying my week off with no homework. I wish I had more time though, gutters need cleaned, yard needs mowed, basement needs organized!!! At least I have so much to do I cannot think about how lonely I could be otherwise.

Prim Cabinet

As you know I have been rooting for my doll materials from boxes in my basement. Well, look what I found in my garage. My mom cleaned it up for me and we brought it into the sun room. It is perfect for my supplies. Though, I have no craft room, at least I can get that darn basement organized. I still need something for all that fabric, but maybe the lord will provide something there to. This was such a great find and totally something I would have purchase anyway. You know how much prim stuff costs. The drippy paint on the inside of the door is not desirable, but I can fix that. It feels so wonderful to be organized...at least this much anyway.

Hopefully it won't rain the rest of the week, so I can get my gutters cleaned out. That will be a first. I am used to a man in my life to do stuff like that. I suppose I will never take that for granted again. Thank you boys for all your hard and dirty jobs you do! Right girls? There is so much I need done here at the house that requires a truck and a man, it is quite surprising. Now I see why single woman live in condo's not almost an acre of land....jeez! I may be borrowing my sisters husband more than I would care to, but bartering for baby sitting from their aunt should help.

Starting next week I will be offering a plethora of items on E-bay. I have been working on a few things at once. Dolls and paintings mostly. The paintings are so much fun. I hope they are successful because I need to paint more often! I will be starting my prices out real reasonable. I cannot tell you how much fun my mom and I have been having working together. It will take time for her to get the hang of all this, but she is a lot of help already and to spend so much time with her after all these years makes me very happy.

Working on finals for school this weekend. Been busy making dolls and art this week. It has been such fun having my mom come over a few times a week. Very therapeutic for both of us. My kitchen is nothing fancy. Old! I did not paint the cabinets, though I thought about it real hard!! Very simple compared to my old house, huh? No dishwasher, no thermostat on my stove and not much cabinet space. But, it is not all about the fancy things in life, right? I framed Benedetta's paintings I bought quite a while ago. They are so cute.

Look at all those dollies. All from Back Porch Pickins patterns. I love Tonya and her art. I left my forceps with Joan, so I am awaiting new ones in the mail. It will take a while, so my mom has been helping me with starting new ones. Then I will have a lot of little legs and arms to work on next week. Also, my mom likes to paint. She does not think she is creative so she paints color by number. Funny. So, I drew a picture on black canvas and had her paint it for me. I detailed it out another couple hours, but that hour we had a blast. I kept laughing at my sister, she tried it but the canvas and image was not detailed. Oh but it was a hoot for sure. Anyway, the paintings will be on Ebay next week as well, because I have my finals this week.

Family Fun

I hope everyone had a great mother's day. I spent mine at my sisters. My mom came with my brother and his kids. They played outside, so I thought I would get some pictures. It was so nice getting together with family. These kids had not seen each other in a over a year, such a shame when they live but only 30 minutes away.

Things are changing with Jenny in town! I love it. Now if I can get Jimmy to mow my lawn for some baby sitting time I'd be happy. I have no mower and did you see my lawn? ha ha.

Blinds

I hate reading patterns. I got frustrated that the pattern called for things the sales clerk did not advice me, so I used what I had thought I needed. I am so impatient, I skipped the pattern and made my own version using dowel rods. They are cute and function okay. I have not found a claps for my string, so you have to tie it. I have 5 more to finish. Between schoolwork and everything else, I may be finished in a week. Gosh, I hope so.

I bought fabric and notions for dollies today. I want to create so badly!!! I can barely stand it any longer. I have 2 weeks left of school and week off. That would be a good time to teach my mom how to help me make dolls. She normally is a good sewer..lol She needs me to fix the machine and thread it all the time. But, I think she will get the hang of crafting with me.

Oh, I just love this tree. It has been raining for two days, so it has turned kinda brown. Boo Hoo. At least I got a nice photo before all this rain. I have been feeling cooped up lately. Homework, housework, the weather. Today was my day to do something for the house and well, I just am not motivated to make those roman blinds...lol I'd probably be better off creating my own patter for it because I am not a lover or patterns. There's no rules to break when creating your own things. That is what I think anyway. I really wish I would get them done, so I could maybe start making, I don't know....DOLLS!!! I want to make crafts so bad, but feel entirely NOT ready or organized enough. All the doll supplies are in the basement still in their boxes.

Thanks to my mom and her help, we finished the painting I wanted to do. The living room is a sunny yellow, the dinning (or current craft room), and the huge master. Here are a couple of pictures. I had a bunch of paintings by Jennifer of Hot Tamale Art Studio framed. They make these paintings so divine. My mother and I painted my master. Uggh, that was a nightmare with all that paneling...I will share once I have everything organized up there. OOOOH, did you notice the lovely polymer clay doll? My first Barton Original. I have wanted this piece for a long time and finally splurged.

Getting Settled

I know how you are all excited about my move. Well, I am still getting settled as well as trying desperately to get back on track at school. I managed to paint my office at the new house. Oh how I wanted to paint the trim white, but I was a "good girl" an left it natural wood. The bathroom is adorable. It's so much cuter in person. I put all my framed digital art in there. It goes perfectly. I will share more pictures as I finish each room. Moving from 3400sf to 1600 is interesting. But I get to decorate each room with dolls...well almost. LOL

Yippy. I received my bartered items from Robin Armstrong-Seeber. These are sooo cute. I love the red, of course. Robins dolls are so darling and I feel very fortunate to have been asked to swap with her. I have been pretty lazy today. I packed all my doll making supplies away for the big move. Yep, I am moving to Ohio during the end of March. I cannot wait to get my life back on track. It has been a hectic one lately. Wow, just in time! The red witch is finished. We will be listing her on ebay this week, sometime. I have a lot to do and here is yet another thing to add to my list. I found I lost my HTML docs that I used for my Ebay backgrounds. That totally sucks. I had them saved on my old desktop that decided to die! I am not looking forward to dealing with that now either. Maybe I can get Joan to do it...hint hint! hahaha. We started a new doll today for St Patrick's Day. Joan is getting so good at sculpting these lovely ladies. I feel I cannot take too much credit because she has been a majority of the work. One day I may set her free to create on her own...lol or maybe not. We make a good team, I think.

Seems like quite a while ago since I posted the doll Joan was working on. This is her second doll. It is a collaboration between the two of use, but Joan does all the work. Joan is a wonderfully talented painter....among other things. Currently she is working on a red witch with a snake. When she has that one finished (Hopefully before Valentines Day) I will list them on E-bay. I am introducing her to the cloth and clay world and she is having so much fun. It is kind neat to be someone's mentor. I know I have had many and I am quite grateful for them.

I re-used some pink and red buttons from Kaff Grimm's wrapping for Miss Valentine. She thinks they are perfect. I have her all boxed and ready to go. She is so very sweet I hope Lisa likes her. The other pictures are things in my craft closet. Of course it has to have art! Those little paper clay kitties are from Carrie Murtha of Snippets. I love her and her wonderful art. Kitty Hook Rug - Finally!

This hook rug had been sitting around, waiting for me to finish for some time now. WOW. That took forever! Oh well. Lots of things are on my low priority list. But, I am thrilled I got the hooking part of this done. Binding on the other hand....hmmmmm. We will see. I am not that great at that, since I have little...or should I say NO experience doing that. I debated on whether to offer this cute rug to my blogger friends to help raise money for the kitties. I have so much on my plate lately. I know tomorrow I have to get my Valentine Swap item finished. Then back to ton's of schoolwork. Ahhhh I need to relax!

Not much creating these days. I still have not attempted a Valentine doll. Ah where does the time go? I feel like shit today, so I am not getting much done around here. I wanted to do something fun so I decided to move some dollies around. I received my first ever dolly from Linda of Meadowbrook Cabin Primitives . The little Valentine mouse Adora likes her new home. She is so cute. I ended up moving Miss Winter Whitehair by Joyce Stahl to my bathroom. We will see how she fairs there. She is still upset that the cats broke her antique Christmas balls. She is constantly getting knocked over by cats, so we are hoping for some peace and quiet for her there. I also confiscated my soon to be ex's bedside table. hahaha Tonya's dolly looks so pretty there. Much better than my crowded desk. I have to say... I love walking around my home looking at my pretty collection. I should be charging admission to this little doll museum huh? lol

I have been a terrible blogger. I have nothing creative to share here. So, as I always do...share pictures of my collection. The newest item is an angel ornie by Karen Milstein. I love Karen's work. Schoolwork is taking up most of my time these days, but I am working in flash animation so the possibilities are endless. Freelance work during college is going to be fun. White Witch Sneak Peak

I am posting this for Joan. If you follow my blog you know Joan and I have been collaborating on her first set of dolls. I hope you like her outfit Joan. Joan is really getting the hang of sculpting with Paper clay. Now, all I have to finish on her is her hat. She will be holding a white owl...as soon as I figure out how to attach him. I have talked Joan into doing a red one, so we can have some them. Then we may list them at the same time. I cannot wait to share this one when she is done. In my own world I would love to paint something today. Not sure if I will but we'll see.

Free time

I thought I had a lot of that today. NOPE Life happens. Spent an hour talking to tech support about my wireless modem. I was a bit frustrated the call center was in India. You know them. I could hardly make out her accent and she could barely understand me. I was practically yelling at her. I felt terrible about that..but, what? what? what? Uggg. Anyway, at least I got this accomplished. I still am not sure I am happy with it. I will wait till it dries and do some touch up I suppose and see what happens. I am in dire need of a new supply of paint. Much of my craft paint dried...I guess they don't have much of a shelf life and I used the rest. I may have to find other things to create for a while. Mieninger is a luxury I won't be enjoying for a little while at least.

Can you believe I am waiting till a day before this little girl is due to get shipped. Man, I really need to change that. Doll making is messy. I don't have proper room on my table so my floor takes the brunt of it. I would love to have a workshop someday. Just for painting and doll making. My fancy doll museum of an office just does not cut it. LOL Sure is pretty though and I spend about 80% of my time there. I have to get this done by the end of the day. Schools out for 3 weeks so I am hoping to catch up on my blogging. I miss my blogger friends a bunch. I never have time to comment and check out art anymore! Boo Hoo

Christmas Tree

I took this baby out of the closet last week. Kinda funny, I still have my spooky trees and crows out for Halloween. It's fall so I wanted to enjoy it up to Thanksgiving. I normally put up the tree, by myself (frown) the Friday after, but I don't think I am going to have time. I am off school on the 18th, so it may have to wait. We'll see. This tree is made by a local artist Look In The Nook. I Love her stuff!

Look at all these Christmas patterns. There are four here I have not made yet. I was asked by a friend to do Christmas handmade party and thought I would make some nodders because they are easier than a whole dolly. But I would love to make some stocking and other things. Can I do it? We will see. Only 3 weeks left to create!!!
