October Snow Storm
A break in the snow has allowed a lot of what was shoveled to melt. The Crows came out with another swarm of black birds that like to eat the cat food I put out. The crows are spoiled. They hang out during the winter mornings and eat peanuts Joan and I put out for them. Crows are really fun to watch. They know me, which is real neat.

Halloween Decor & A Box by Joan
We sold all of our Halloween Decor, except for my trees, garland and crows. I will post a video of our house all decked out. It was fun. I would let kids tour the house, most were scared because it really looked like and old manor house with flicker lights everywhere and our costumes we awesome!
Since becoming a Christian we felt we should not celebrate Halloween like we used to. I love fall and Halloween, so I had to keep some items and our custom made theatrical costumes. Plus, I love lights. I could have lights up for every holiday, mind you. Gosh, I'd be a Koo koo cat lady with lights all around her house all year round...HAHAHAHA...too funny, I crack myself up! Nope, I am the opposite of that. I hate clutter. That would suffocate me.
Joan painted a box I gave her. She is trying to break into Folk Art and loves to paint. Go check out her blog to view the auction, it ends Sunday.

Burr it is cold outside!
Not much going on here today. It is real chilly out and rainy, so I thought what a good day to work with fiber. Here is my latest hook rug. I blogged about wanting to make this months ago. My hook rug tutor had one at her house. I really need to meet up with her again. I am an idiot when it comes to binding them. Or maybe I am just too much of a perfectionist. Probably both. LOL It would be a good day to snuggle by the fire, but nope, none of that going on. I have been procrastinating on a bunch of Ipod purses. They are almost finished, but I cannot seem to get motivated to make the straps. Probably because I have not sold any. That is usually a big motivation for me. I am sure it is the same with everyone. I also have a few canvas's that are sitting. Having so many hobbies is great..I do love it, but I can see if I had just one I might get more of that finished. I am not complaining, though. I would never take back any of the fun things I have learned the last few years. I have many many projects waiting to be started to, so my winter will be full.

Joan's Witch
Joan will be putting her on E-bay next week and I will blog about it again...then. Soon maybe Joan can join our doll groups and start making a name for herself. I am so proud of her so far. She has been a great student.
Joan is using a pattern I created using muslin for these dolls. I will be showing her how to sew on my machine tomorrow morning, so she can start creating more.
We can officially welcome Joan into the doll making world!!! YEAH! Go check her out on her blog.

Happy birthday to me!
So, anyway.....I am turning 40 years old today. Yep, you read that right. I don't look a day over 29, either, right? Actually if you go by facebook, I am 18 and 21. lol That would be about right because I am a freshman in college. Yet, I have the mentality of a 40 year old. They call that wisdom and I thank the lord for it.
I am sorry about being a lousy blogger lately. I have been helping Joan with her first witch doll. Plus, I only have 2.5 weeks of school left this term and it goes by so fast. I still cannot believe I will be a sophomore by Christmas. Time flies when your past middle age.

A Clean Office & Joan's Doll
Joan is finished with her first doll. It was a collaboration between the two of us, because I had to sew for her. But Joan did the rest. Her painting style is interesting and makes this doll so much her own style. I love it. I am so excited to share. She will be listing her on Ebay...Hopefully tonight.
Joan is excited about making dolls now. I am sewing up bodies for her, so she can paper clay a witch this week. It is so fun mentoring an artist. I never thought I would be doing that. I sure hope Joan finds success in her art. She has been painting all her life. Go check out her blog here.

Where is my Halloween spirit?
That is what I was thinking when I decided to make this Americana doll. This is what I made when I showed Joan how to use paper clay. I am thinking about mounting her on a jar and putting something themed inside. I am a bit clueless right now because I am not concentrating on this. I wish I could just get my act together and make some Halloween dolls. Time is flying by.

Progress
Dave rented that old movie Soylent Green, last night. So, I chose to work on my rug while we watched it. We had not seen it and were told it was disturbing. Well, I could not get over how cheesy it was. I did not finish watching it. It was too silly for me. But, at least I was able to get some of this done. It is nice to finally work on something!

Camping Pictures
I am almost done with school work, so maybe I will do something creative. I have so much on my to do list, though, that I am overwhelmed and do nothing.
| As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so [was] the appearance of the brightness round about. This [was] the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw [it], I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake. |
| And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and [there was] a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. |
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: http://www.blueletterbible.org/search/translationResults.cfm?Criteria=rainbow&t=KJV |

A darling surprise!
Oh look at all the goodies i received today. Pea of Whimsical Endeavor made this darling make-do. He is so sweet and meticulously crafted. Pea was so generous giving him away on her blog. She was also kind enough to send goodies for fun and for my birthday next month. I love everything and it totally made my day.

Twins
I painted 'Twins" this morning. It is a 10 by 10 deep canvas. I am thrilled with it. I hope you are enjoying my new work. I decided to do an entire theme with these colors. I love how the blue looks up against black hair. It will be interesting to see if people like these. I mean enough to bid on them that is! It would be nice to be able to support my college education with a job of painting. Praise the Lord!

Falling
Shelby Dear
To tell you the truth. I find I am surprising myself with each new painting. I really did not know what I was doing when I started. And I still don't for that matter. lol I am just having fun.
This one, I named after my friend, Shelby. You've seen her mug on my ETSY page, sporting some of my hats and neck warmers. Unfortunately, she does not get this painting. Unless she buys it. LOL If I have time, I will place her on Ebay.
Emma is here
Look what I won! A little Snippets cat, Emma. Carrie Murtha's art is amazing. I know, I own (now 3) pieces by her. I love blog giveaway's and I love my new little cat. She is sitting next to my laptop now. heehee.
I am doing schoolwork and trying to paint in between.

500th post & a painting
I should be doing a giveaway. Instead I am showing off a new painting, I just finished. This is a bit impressionistic. Not easy painting on a 4x4, but that is what makes it unique! Now don't look at it all blown up because the size is just as you see it. I may put this on Ebay this week. I am pretty busy with school this week because I plan on camping in the mountains this weekend. Jet ski's & four wheelers. WHOOHOO. Lol My sister will be watching the kitties. Uiyvie.

Halloween Painting
This is my first Halloween painting! It is cute, don't you think? I tried using thin layers of paint so that the crackle effect would show up. Thanks Cris for responding to that. My main problem is layering paint, then some of the layers won't show through the crackle. But, this one worked out pretty good. She is listed on Ebay this weekend.
